The jinn has landed in angelochori nest in Saloniki and is building with the angels an eartship…the angels of angelochori nest are earthship pioneers and they also run a international roma solidarity network. Click here > I.R.N.A.

One of the ideas of I.R.N.A is to educate Rroma to build earthships. This will give them the possibility of beeing more independent from the system. Some Rroma in the area here live allready from recycling. In Gadjos (Not Rroma people, lit. Farmer)  minds its obious that earthships would be an affordable method of building homes, but to convince Rroma will be a different matter.

You might ask what an earthship has to do with the jinn.tv project. Well, this project has set longterm objectives, which reach out to the year 2018. Therefore JINN.TV is looking for an a nice and quiet place between orient and okzident to do productions and broadcasting. The goal is to set up a real TVStation, which will base for broadcasting, film editing and nomadic getaways. Thes(saloniki) is very well located and within a few hours, you get yourself anywhere on the balkan or into the orient. The grassroot method of using tires, dirt, pet-bottles, glas bottles to get to an independent house, is sharing same ideas which JINN.TV has. Get your self out of the sytem to have an more objective and independent view to things and matters. An other reason for building up a base here is, that these grounds have an old cultural heritage and an anarchist culture which is still keep a live. All these conditions are a good culture medium for JINN.TV.

Currently I work in the early hours on the earthship to get expirience of doing such a self-supporting housing system. In the afternoon I start up my computer to do the editorial work and to promote this grassroot idea. In late afternoon I fill again tires and level them to get closer to the house. Before night I relax at the nearby beach and when its dark I drink Ziporro, listen to Rembetika and dream of my JINN.TV Station.
